Clay:
Keep up the great work I really enjoy your instructional material! I have a question for you. Would you recommend the topspin pro for 65-year-old 4.0 player? That player happens to be me but the reality is my back hand is much better than my forehand and I really want to improve my forehand .
Thanks!
Andy Carlson
Hi Andy, yes I definitely would. It helps greatly with topspin. It also helps to hive you something to aim at for shadow drills, when you are working on other parts of your game. As you are working on different aspects of your forehand, you can ingrain it on the TSP. Best of luck!!
Clay
Dear Clay, I am an experienced recreational player. Lately I’ve run into a new problem which I hope you can help me with through one or more of your excellent videos.
This season i’ve begun to play with new players who are much better than me – especially the speed of their groundstrokes is higher than my own shots. That means that I make many mistakes: If I hit the ball with same power then I cannot control the ball, and if I lower the speed I am overpowered on the next shot. My question is what I can do to step up on my speed. Both strokewise and agility wise..
Greetings from Denmark.

Hi Steen, great to hear from you. The biggest things you can do is to load the legs and the shoulders. That will allow for the most power.
Here is a video on the legs. https://topspeedtennis.com/vault/modern-forehand-leg-drive/
And one for loading up the upper body for maximum power: https://topspeedtennis.com/vault/the-ultimate-power-forehand-caution-not-for-everyone/
